The Bitou Municipality is determined to eradicate illegal dumping and calls on the public to become more involved.
Last week, the Integrated Waste Management Section of the municipality cleaned up an illegal dumpsite in Qolweni.
The group further educated residents about the dangers of illegal dumping.

Bitou firefighters not only won the hearts of many at the Toughest Firefighter Alive Competition at the weekend, but they also won numerous awards.
The Municipality sent a generational mix to compete at this year's TFA-SA.
This competition is based on the international Toughest Firefighter Alive Challenge, which falls under the umbrella event of the World Firefighter Games (WFG)
