THE DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION PERIOD OF THE SPAZA SHOPS AND OTHER FOOD HANDLING OUTLETS IS DRAWING NEAR

INTRODUCTION

On 18 December 2024, President Cyril Ramaphosa decided to extend the registration period deadline for all Spaza Shops and other food handling outlets to 28 February 2025. In this regard and as from today, Wednesday, 12 February 2025, Spaza Shop owners and other food handling facilities are left with exactly thirteen (13) days to register their businesses.

Residents of Ward 7 (Old Harkerville Area) are invited to attend a public meeting to replace two vacancies on the Ward Committee.

While no loss of life was recorded in the Bitou area due to the heavy downpour at the weekend, the Bitou Disaster Management team remains on high alert. 

Call for proposals for sponsorship branded beach umbrellas, branded beach cushions and auxilory services in Plettenberg Bay​

Bitou Municipality hereby calls on potential suppliers for the sponsorship of umbrellas for the purpose of creating informal trader opportunities from 1 December 2019 to end April 2020.

Suppliers must be able to provide opportunities for employment through the provision of umbrellas and beach cushions and auxiliary services in return for branding opportunities on Plettenberg Bay’s beaches.
