The plight of parents, guardians, and teachers with regard to the affordability of stationary, school clothes and shoes for the 2024 school year echoes within the Bitou Community. 

In a bid to alleviate the immediate financial pressure experienced due to the exponential cost of stationery and school clothes Bitou Municipality is launching a call for partnership.  

Administrative: Fieldworker- data collection 
Location: Plettenberg Bay 
Employment type: Contract 

Responsibilities of role: 

● Fieldworkers will be issued with capturing devices to collect and/or verify owner/occupant, property, and infrastructure details at properties in the different suburbs and towns in the Bitou Municipal area

● Fieldworkers are expected to capture accurate information during a door-to-door survey to properties. 

Please note that Bitou Municipality is planning power interruptions at the following areas;

Sunday, 11 February and 25 February 2024 from 8:00 to 16:00 

Plettenberg Bay South: Robberg, Beachy Head, Longships, River Club, Beacon Island, Central Beach, Bull street, Hobie beach, Odlands, Crows Nest, Harker Street and surrounds, EXCLUDING Eskom customers at Robberg.

Work is continuing at the Bitou Ebenezer Housing Project with the second tranche of beneficiaries moving into their homes today, 30 Jan. 24.

Today Bitou Municipality leadership handed over houses to 8 families from New Horizons- this is after 10 families moved in November last year.
