Work is continuing at the Bitou Ebenezer Housing Project with the second tranche of beneficiaries moving into their homes today, 30 Jan. 24.

Today Bitou Municipality leadership handed over houses to 8 families from New Horizons- this is after 10 families moved in November last year.

The Ebenezer Housing Project is one of Bitou’s legacy projects which will yield 1600 mixed housing opportunities and, in the process, create jobs and subcontracting opportunities.

Present at the handover was council leadership; Bitou Executive Mayor Dave Swart, Bitou Deputy Executive Mayor Mavis Busakwe and Bitou Speaker, Cllr Claude Terblanche.

They lauded the team that has worked around the clock to deliver the houses in impeccable condition.

Meanwhile some beneficiaries could not hold back their emotions as they celebrated the moment.
