DCAS Western Cape Call for Annual Funding
The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport (DCAS) invites registered arts and culture organisations and institutions, artists groups, individuals involved in artistic expressions and arts and culture events companies to submit their online applications for project funding for the 2023/24 financial year. All applicants must be South African citizens based in the Western Cape. Outcomes need to be clearly articulated as this will weigh heavily on whether project is to be supported or not.
Special Council Meeting on 28 February 2023
Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 19 of Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) that a Council meeting of the Bitou Municipality is scheduled for Tuesday, 28 February 2023 at 12h00 via Teams.

Kranshoek storytellers looking forward to regular meetings
Kranshoek was a hive of activity on 17 May as storytellers from the area came together to share their stories at the Oral History Festival.
The festival, organised by Bitou's library services team, was launched by Western Cape MEC for Cultural Affairs and Sports (DCAS) Anroux Marais.
The aim of the festival is to honour stories from the communities told by people from the communities.
Libraries to host outreach on Plett beach
This December 2017, Bitou Municipality will take its Library Services to the beach for some “Fun in the Sun”. The Library will be visiting Central Beach on 11 – 15 and 18 – 22 December where they will provide a variety of fun activities for individuals and the entire family.
