This December 2017, Bitou Municipality will take its Library Services to the beach for some “Fun in the Sun”. The Library will be visiting Central Beach on 11 – 15 and 18 – 22 December where they will provide a variety of fun activities for individuals and the entire family.

The aim of this initiative is to empower, promote and uplift everyone within our communities to make use of the resources the Bitou Library Services have to offer. Often due to responsibilities (like school, work and studies) we do not get to visit a library, and instead, we rely on our technological devices to fulfill the purpose.

Bitou Municipality’s Public Libraries are equipped with fully functioning ICT facilities that are Internet ready, with trained staff on hand who are able to assist users.

“Each year Bitou Libraries try to encourage and promote learning within the various different communities. By following the old, traditional way we have had little success, however this year we have decided to jazz things up a little, by doing this Outreach on the Beach. So come and join us for a fun filled day…”
