Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Public Accounts Committee Meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, Municipal Offices, Sewell Street, Plettenberg Bay on Wednesday the 19th of March 2025 at 12H30, to discuss Bitou Municipality’s Draft Annual Report, 2023/2024 Financial year.

Organizations and bodies that qualify in terms of the criteria and prescriptions contained in Bitou Municipality’s Grant-in-Aid Policy and Section 67 of the Municipal Financial Management Act 2003 are hereby invited to submit proposals for Arts Festival Programs to be undertaken during the month of March 2025. 

Only applications submitted on the prescribed application form and accompanied by all the required information, documentation, financial statements, covering letter, etc., will be considered.

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 127 (5) of the Local Government: Finance Management Act (Act 56 of 2003) read with Section 21A of the Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act 32 of 2000) that the Draft Annual Report for Bitou Municipality in respect of the 2023/2024 financial year and Mid – Year Budget and Performance Assessment (Section 72) Report for the 2024/2025 financial year, are available for inspection at the following places: 

• Municipal Office, Sewell Street, Plettenberg Bay 

• Green Valley Library, Wittedrift 

In terms of Council Resolution C/1/284/01/25, applications are hereby invited for persons with suitable skills and qualifications to serve as members of the Bitou Municipality's audit committee in terms of Section 166 of the Municipal Finance Management Act (No. 56 of 2003).  This committee will also serve as the Performance Management Committee and other functions might be allocated to the committee.
