Call for proposals for sponsorship branded beach umbrellas, branded beach cushions and auxilory services in Plettenberg Bay​

Bitou Municipality hereby calls on potential suppliers for the sponsorship of umbrellas for the purpose of creating informal trader opportunities from 1 December 2019 to end April 2020.

Suppliers must be able to provide opportunities for employment through the provision of umbrellas and beach cushions and auxiliary services in return for branding opportunities on Plettenberg Bay’s beaches.

The water supply to various areas has been interrupted due to a major pipe break.

The Water Services Section Is on site and working to repair the pipe break and have the water supply restored.

Yesterday, 29 March 2023, the Bitou Executive Mayor Dave Swart accompanied by the Councillor for Ward 4, Cllr. Claude Terblanche, handed over title deeds to property owners in New Horizon.

Gister, 29 Maart 2023, het die Bitou Uitvoerende Burgemeester Dave Swart vergesel van die Raadslid vir Wyk 4, rl. Claude Terblanche, titelaktes aan eiendomseienaars in New Horizon oorhandig het.

Die meeste van diegene wat hul titelaktes ontvang het, was begunstigdes van projekte wat selfs voor 1994 geïmplementeer is.

On March 18, 2023, the Garden Route District Municipality (GRDM) hosted the second Safer Schools Conference in Plettenberg Bay in collaboration with 7 b-municipalities, the Western Cape Department of Community Safety, and the South African Police Services (SAPS) and several school representatives – including learners and principals. There were also a few community organisations present, such as neighbourhood watches and community policing forums.
