Facilities Management and Maintenance

The Law Enforcement Section is responsible for Law Enforcement, VIP Protection and Security Services. Municipal Law Enforcement mandated by Government Gazette 23868 of 26 September 2002, to address short falls and hardships experienced by Municipalities in South Africa relating by-law empowerment, Business Act 1991 (Act 71 of 1991), Occupational Health and Safety and land use planning. The Fire Brigade Act, 1987 etc.

Public Libraries manages the key performance areas and result indicators associated with the provision of  effective library services and monitors the execution of procedural sequences/requirements associated with aligning standards to meet customer objectives, attending to the acquisition, organization of information and interacting and providing users with information from various media, creating an environment conducive to learning through  the arrangement of displays and signage of new library materials and attending to administrative reporting and record updating requirements.

We do our best to provide you with a comfortable environment within which to live, work and play. The Community Services Directorate is responsible for the provision of services to Bitou Municipality’s communities, visitors and tourists. This is done as an integrated and co-ordinated effort with other State organs, within the Constitutional and Local Government legislative framework.
