Stage 3 load shedding is being implemented due to a higher than anticipated demand experienced last night. This will continue until 16:00 when previously communicated load shedding schedules will resume.

Inwoners van Wyk 4 ontvang titelaktes vir hul eiendomme
Gister, 29 Maart 2023, het die Bitou Uitvoerende Burgemeester Dave Swart vergesel van die Raadslid vir Wyk 4, rl. Claude Terblanche, titelaktes aan eiendomseienaars in New Horizon oorhandig het.
Die meeste van diegene wat hul titelaktes ontvang het, was begunstigdes van projekte wat selfs voor 1994 geïmplementeer is.

The water supply to various areas has been interrupted due to a major pipe break.
The Water Services Section Is on site and working to repair the pipe break and have the water supply restored.
No time frames have been provided yet.

Libraries to host outreach on Plett beach
This December 2017, Bitou Municipality will take its Library Services to the beach for some “Fun in the Sun”. The Library will be visiting Central Beach on 11 – 15 and 18 – 22 December where they will provide a variety of fun activities for individuals and the entire family.
Kranshoek storytellers looking forward to regular meetings
Kranshoek was a hive of activity on 17 May as storytellers from the area came together to share their stories at the Oral History Festival.
The festival, organised by Bitou's library services team, was launched by Western Cape MEC for Cultural Affairs and Sports (DCAS) Anroux Marais.
The aim of the festival is to honour stories from the communities told by people from the communities.
