NOTICE OF THE SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY, 30 APRIL 2024, AT 09H00 IN THE BITOU MUNICIPALITY’S COUNCIL CHAMBERS, IN SEWELL STREETBITOU MUNICIPALITY (WC047)

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 29 A of Local Government: Municipal Structures Act, No 117 of 1998 (Act 117 of 1998) that the Special Council meeting of the Bitou Municipality is scheduled for Tuesday, 30 April 2024 at 09h00 in the Bitou Council Chambers. 

PUBLIC NOTICE | Call for proposals for Bitou Bitou Incubator Programme

BITOU SMME INCUBATOR PROGRAMME – CALL FOR BUSINESS PROPOSALS

Bitou Municipality hereby invites local entrepreneurs to apply for the Bitou SMME Incubator programme. 

Applicants with a workable business concept may apply for the programme, which aims to provide support to small businesses by means of equipment and non-financial support.

Interested entrepreneurs must submit business proposals with the following compulsory criteria and information attached:

MEDIA RELEASE | Bitou Municipality to host a sustainable infrastructure investment conference

Bitou Municipality will host a sustainable agriculture investment conference in May- this is one way that the Executive is putting Bitou on a global stage. 

The investment conference has a sharp focus on current and future infrastructure projects. The conference will be held on the 23rd of May at the Beacon Island Hotel- one Plettenberg Bay’s illustrious venue. 

MEDIA RELEASE | Progress is being made at the Plettenberg Bay Airport

Big plans are set and ready for lift-off for the Plettenberg Bay Airport. 

These big plans were revealed as RSA.Aero presented its masterplan to the Bitou Council earlier this week. 

This is as the new manager starts at the airport on Monday, 06 May 2024, and operations begin on 1 July 2024. 

This strategic partnership between Bitou Municipality is poised to bring about transformative changes and propel the tourism sector to new heights.

The group also said they had adopted a zone-based development approach for the building of numerous precincts.

• Applicant must be directly involved in the daily operations.

PUBLIC NOTICE | Bitou Public Safety Division call for comments on the Public Amenities By-Law

Notice is hereby given in terms of Section 12 (3)(b) of the Local government: Municipal Systems Act (Act No. 32 of 2000) as amended and by resolution of Council of Bitou municipality, that Bitou Municipality has considered and in principle adopted the draft By-law relating to Public Amenities. Council Resolution, Item number C/4/115/09/23 taken at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on 31 October 2023, recommended that the public be informed and encouraged to comment on this by-law:
