Notice is hereby given to all customers with overdue service accounts that the Bitou municipality has appointed the below listed four (4) Debt Collection Companies to assist the municipality to collect all overdue amounts on rates and services accounts. 

1. Finovo Inc. 

2. Imani Business Advisory Services (Pty) Ltd 

3. Kumyolz Investments (Pty) Ltd 

4. Revenue Consulting (Pty) Ltd 

The municipality however wish to encourage customers to settle their overdue accounts or to make appropriate arrangements to pay their accounts off over a period of time in line with municipal Debt collection policy. We encourage customers to utilise this opportunity given by the Municipality before your account is with the debt collectors where you may incur additional collection costs.

All customers are reminded that the municipality does provide relief to those customers who cannot afford to pay their service accounts through the indigent subsidy program. Further assistance is also provided to those customers who fall outside of the indigent threshold but with total household income less than R 14 743 per month through a discount on their services accounts. 

The municipality also allows for the conclusion of an arrangement to pay off arrear debt over a period of time. For those who wish to settle their accounts once-off, the municipality provides for 50% write off of the debt older than 12 months.
