Smme development is an integral part of the functions of the Economic Development section and we offer the following services to our smme’s:

• Linkages to funding institutions and funding programmes
• Business development advise 
• Stakeholder outreach events

The role of business (big and small) is recognized by government as being an important catalyzer to increase growth in the South African economy and the creation of much needed job opportunities. It is therefore crucial to upskill and capacitate businesses in our local economy, and provide them with the tools to endure tough economic conditions to effect change in our communities.
