Who: 57 officials and councillors of the Bitou Municipality

What: Graduation Ceremony at the University of the Western Cape

Where: University of the Western Cape, Bellville

As part of Bitou Municipality's initiative to capacitate its employees and councillors, 41 individuals will graduate with an Advanced Diploma in Public Administration (NQF Level 7), while the remaining graduates will receive a Higher Certificate in Local Economic Development (NQF Level 5). This program aims to facilitate succession planning and enhance the institution's service delivery capabilities.

Additional Information: This partnership between the University and the Municipality began in January 2024 and has yielded exceptional results, largely due to the commitment from everyone involved.
