Dear residents,

We regret to inform you that the Green Waste Disposal Facility is temporarily closed due to cleanup and mop-up operations following a recent fire outbreak at the site. The facility will remain closed until the end of April 2025.

Our goal is to thoroughly clean the area to ensure its long-term usability.

In the interim, residents are encouraged to utilize the privately owned facility, KK Sand, located along the N2 towards Knysna, near the Sasol garage, at their own cost. The KK Sand facility is close to the transfer station.

We also urge residents to refrain from disposing of their garden waste illegally, either in townships or elsewhere, as this is not a good practice.
