Grade 12 with Accounting / Mathematics / Economics, ● 2-5 years’ experience.
Computer literacy (MS Office Applications) ● Proficiency in at least two of the official languages of the Western Cape (read, write, and speak) ● Good human relations, interpersonal, organizational and communication skills ● High level of responsibility ● Ability to work and under pressure ● Perform complex administrative functions which requires specialized knowledge ● Operate under limited supervision ● Ability to work adhoc hours at year-end.
● Checking and verifying source payment documentation for claims against receipts/delivery notes ● Resolving queries and verifying deviations with respect to quantity supplied and unit charges with internal departments/personnel or supplier, ●Attend to the processing of entries and/or approved adjustments and posting to specific ledger accounts ● Reconciling general and statutory account balances against statements and generating reports detailing the status of creditor accounts ● Ensuring that all requisitions/order/invoices/tenders/contracts are properly authorised and signed in accordance with the laid down transactional procedural requirements ● Attend to procedural administrative requirements, record keeping and reporting deadlines associated with the functionality ● Applying specific sequences associated with initiating and completing electronics back-up of accounting information and/or referencing source documentation, reports and/or instructions, to facilitate retrieval ● Coordinate and control procedural administrative requirements, record keeping and reporting deadlines associated with the functionality ● Keep abreast of current developments, emerging trends and administrative procedural applications in the profession.
