Bitou Municipality proudly announces that it has retained Blue Flag status for six of its beaches: Robberg 5, The Waves, Nature’s Valley, Lookout Beach, The Dunes, and Singing Kettle.

The Wildlife and Environment Society of South Africa (#WESSA) confirmed these awards at the Blue Flag and Green Coast Awards event on Monday 28 October 2024. Robberg 5 and Lookout Beach received Special Awards celebrating 15 and 10 years, respectively, in the Blue Flag program, highlighting their longstanding commitment to excellence.

Bitou also received two Blue Flag awards for Offshore Adventures’ boats! And, for the second consecutive year, Nature’s Valley Reserve Beach earned the prestigious Green Coastal Flag Status Award.

Adding to this achievement, Plettenberg Bay has been nominated as one of the Leading Beach Destinations in the World by the World Travel Awards!
