● Management of the office of the Executive Mayor in accordance with applicable policies and legislation ● Manages the budget in compliance with financial prescripts and Supply Chain Management procedural applications ● Manages all correspondence of the Executive Mayor’s Office ● Manages and executes specific instructions and applies laid down procedures and protocol with respect to rendering and coordinating administrative, secretarial and logistical support to the Executive Mayor ● Ensure that the administrative, secretarial and logistical arrangements are efficiently supported, prioritized and coordinated and reporting requirements are complied with and accurate information disseminated to support specific decisions/actions ● Develop policies, strategies, procedures and mechanisms necessary for the effective implementation of projects within the Office ● Coordinate, plan and facilitate the following mayoral special/ outreach programmes namely ;Youth programmes and sports development/ Gender, disabled and elderly programmes /HIV-Aids programmes /Early childhood development programmes and Moral regeneration ● Disseminates information on outcomes, current developments, problems and constrains regarding the functionality to ensure that information, advice or opinions on relevant matters is made available and/or communicated through the various mediums and accurately interpreted through the provision of adequate and clear explanation ● Coordinates and controls tasks/activities associated with controlling personnel performance, productivity and discipline to ensure that human resources needs are identified and attended to ● Keep abreast of current trends, legislative changes and developments in the profession.
