On Monday 26 August 2024, Bitou Municipality held a successful engagement with entrepreneurs of the Bitou municipal area, in line with the Garden Route Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 2024 outreach program.

This program aims to promote and disseminate the details and objectives of the Garden Route GEW 2024 to local municipalities, local business chambers, and key stakeholders (business chambers, tourism, agriculture, and black business chambers).

This initiative seeks to foster a collaborative environment where entrepreneurial activities can thrive, driving economic growth and innovation within the region.

Through strategic engagement and communication, the outreach program will:
1. Raise Awareness: Inform local municipalities and business chambers about the upcoming Garden Route GEW 2024, highlighting its significance and the opportunities it presents for entrepreneurs and the broader community.
2. Encourage Participation: Motivate key stakeholders to actively participate in GEW 2024 events, workshops, and activities, thereby enhancing the collective impact of the program.
3. Foster Collaboration: Build strong partnerships between public and private sectors, facilitating a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
4. Share Resources: Provide valuable resources, insights, and information to local business communities, enabling them to leverage the benefits of GEW 2024 to their fullest potential.
5. Promote Economic Development: Contribute to the economic development of the Garden Route region by creating a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation

Workshop-goers found this program to be very useful and follow-ups have already been put in place.
