Municipal Notice No: 2/2021

Notice is hereby given that Bitou Municipality is in the process of preparing a Zoning Scheme in terms of Section 22(1) of the Western Cape Land Use Planning Act (Act 3 of 2014) and Section 24(1) of the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act (Act 16 of 2013).

As part of the Zoning Scheme the Municipality has prepared a Draft Zoning By-Law, which specifies regulations and conditions for the use and development of land, and will replace all existing Zoning/ Town Planning Schemes in the municipal area.

The proposed Zoning By-Law is available for inspection on the Bitou Municipal website at www.bitou.gov.za/zoningscheme, or during office hours at the Bitou Local Municipality, Division: Land Use Management, Office 50, Second Floor, Melville’s Corner, 3 Kloof Street, Plettenberg Bay, 6600.

Written comments may be submitted for the attention of the Spatial Planner, Mr Marcel Minne, by hand to the above-mentioned physical address, or by email to MMinne@plett.gov.za, or by post to the Municipal Manager: Bitou Municipality, Private Bag X1002, Plettenberg Bay, 6600. The closing date for comments is 22 February 2021.

Kennis geskied hiermee dat Bitou Munisipaliteit in proses is om ‘n Soneringskema voor te berei ingevolge Artikel 22(1) van die Wes-Kaapse Wet op Grondgebruikbeplanning (Wet 3 van 2014) en Artikel 24(1) van die Wet op Ruimtelike Beplanning en Grondgebruikbestuur (Wet 16 van 2013).

As deel van die Soneringskema  het die Munisipaliteit ‘n konsep Sonering By-Wet opgestel, wat regulasies en voorwaardes vir die gebruik en ontwikkeling van grond voorskryf, en alle bestaande Sonering-/Dorpsbeplanningskemas in die Munisipale area sal vervang.

Die voorgestelde Sonering By-Wet is beskikbaar vir inspeksie op die Bitou Munisipale webwerf by www.bitou.gov.za/zoningscheme, of gedurende kantoorure by die Bitou Plaaslike Munisipaliteit, Afdeling: Grondgebruikbestuur, Kamer 50, Tweede Vloer, Melville’s Corner, Kloofstraat 3, Plettenbergbaai, 6600.

Geskrewe kommentaar kan gerig word aan die Ruimtelike Beplanner, Mnr Marcel Minne, per hand by die bogenoemde fisiese adres, of per e-pos aan mminne@plett.gov.za, of per pos aan die Munisipale Bestuurder: Bitou Plaaslike Munisipaliteit, Privaatsak X1002, Plettenbergbaai, 6600. Die sluitingsdatum vir kommentaar is 22 Februarie 2021.
