TRANSNET NATIONAL PORTS AUTHORITY
Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) is one of five operating divisions of Transnet SOC Ltd. The National Ports Authority is responsible for the safe, effective and efficient economic functioning of the national port system, which it manages in a landlord capacity. It provides port infrastructure and marine services at the eight commercial seaports in South Africa – Durban, Richards Bay, Saldanha, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London, Mossel Bay and Ngqura. It operates within a legislative and regulatory environment and is governed by the National Ports Act (Act No. 12 of 2005).
Bursaries for Skills Development is available for the following job category:
Successful candidates will be placed on a TNPA Training Programme under a Training Bursary that will cover the complete cost of the TNPA Training Programme, The Programme is envisaged to start in May 2017, and will run for a period of approximately 36 months.All successful recipients of the Training Bursary, will be trained in areas of competence, for which there is a clear market demand.
Employment in Transnet is not guaranteed, and any placement is at the discretion of Transnet and its operating divisions.
