REGISTRATION ON THE UNEMPLOYED PERSONS DATABASE: 2021/2022

The Bitou Local Municipality are in the process of updating their central Data Base of Unemployed Persons who wish to be considered for temporary employment positions at the Municipality. Unemployed persons residing in the Bitou Municipal Area are hereby invited to register themselves on the abovementioned database.

Temporary employment positions may become available for specific projects such as Extended Public Works Programmes, Peak Holiday Seasons (i.e. lifeguards, point duty officers, general assistants, drivers, etc.) and   when additional temporary employees are required to handle an increased workload for a specific and or defined period of employment.

The Unemployed Database will be managed by the Municipality’s Human Resources Management Division who will ensure that registered candidates be subjected to Council`s recruitment and selection policy, whenever work opportunities arise. Please note that registration on the database does not automatically guarantee employment for any person by the Bitou Local Municipality.

Application forms are obtainable from any Municipal Office and at the various Libraries.  Please ensure that all relevant documents are attached (Comprehensive Curriculum Vitae, Copies of ID document, Reference checking consent form, proof of residence i.e. municipal account, qualifications & experience). Completed application forms must be deposited in the application box situated at the reception in the Main Municipal Administrative Offices, 4 Sewell Street, Plettenberg Bay.

The closing date for applications is 10 September 2021, at 12h00.
