POSITION ADMINISTRATOR: CREDIT CONTROL & DEBT COLLECTION
DEPARTMENT :FINANCIAL SERVICES
DIVISION :REVENUE SERVICES
SECTION: CREDIT CONTROL & DEBT COLLECTION

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

●An appropriate level of Secondary Education (Grade 12/NQF 4 plus at least 3 years’ Municipal Revenue/Finance experience); ● Extensive knowledge and experience in a Financial Environment; ● Computer literacy (MS Office Applications); ● Proficiency in at least 2 of the official languages of the Western Cape, ● Good report writing and communication skills, ● Analytical skills, ●Supervisory Skills, High level of responsibility; ● Ability to work under pressure to meet prescribed deadlines.

 

FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

●Performing of Credit Control & Debt Collection action in accordance with laid down Credit Control & Debt Collection Bylaw, Policy and Procedures, ● Ensuring the deduction of staff- & Councillor Municipal Accounts are accurately performed in accordance with laid down Credit Control & Debt Collection Bylaw, Policy and Processes; ●The processing of Final Notices; Hand Over of Debt and Returned Cheques are accurately performed in accordance with laid down Credit Control & Debt Collection Bylaw; ●Ensure that specific requirements pertaining to the Credit Control & Debt Collection function are attended to in terms of laid down Credit Control & Debt Collection By-laws; ● Supervising, support, develop and training of 1 Senior Clerk and 2 Clerks.

 

Candidates must be willing to be subjected to an interview and evaluation process and be aware that previous employers and references may be contacted and their qualifications, credit record may be verified and they will be subjected to a police security clearance.
