REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:* Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or Labour /Industrial Relations and or at least 6 years・ experience dealing with Labour Relations and/or Unionized environment in a Local Government environment;* Sound conflict-handling and communication skills;* Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills;* Computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.); * Visionary Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities, supported by leadership capabilities, and the ability to influence other people. * Driving force and enthusiasm, * Good Communication Skills an ability to build positive relationships. *Have passion for working with people and be able to work under pressure. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Must be able to communicate in at least two of the official provincial languages.* Effective organizing and management skills
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:* Coordinating disciplinary, grievance and incapacity processes;* Initiate and chair of disciplinary and incapacity enquiries;* Advise line management on all labour relations and EAP matters;* Performing general administrative tasks within the Human Resources Section;* Perform all administrative tasks relating to the Local Labour Forum and its sub-committees;* Representing the Municipality in disputes at the SALGBC; ●Advise management and staff on grievance and disciplinary processes; ●Ensure that the Municipality complies with Labour Legislation; ●Liaise with management; employees and unions to keep them informed regarding Labour Relations matters;
