Municipal Infrastructure Grant (MIG) is a conditional grant from the national government that goes to local government for maintaining and improving municipal infrastructure. The Municipal Infrastructure Grant programme (MIG) is monitored in terms of the national government financial year, April to March. The Project Management Unit (PMU) within Engineering Services manages MIG from a programme perspective and ensures compliance and performance at all levels.
A letter of acknowledgement and appreciation for the municipality for spending their MIG funding 100% was send to the municipality by COGTA. Thus has led to their performance in the year under review and has contributed for good performance of the MIG programme in general
This has also shown that the municipality has spent their allocated MIG funding appropriately on its infrastructure. The municipality is a caring government and service delivery to its people is a priority and will make sure they achieve this again in the next financial year.
The municipal leadership is thanking all the officials who had worked tirelessly for job well done.
