At the Green Valley Community Meeting which took place on Sunday 06 September, the Executive Mayor Memory Booysen in his Community address stated that:
“The rugby field has water drainage problems and Bitou does not support this area for residential purposes and will look into the possibility of rectifying this problem and make this sports field into a playable condition.”
COMMUNITY HALL
The hall constructed by private individuals and donated to the community of Green Valley.
Resolution:
Bitou Municipality will take ownership of correcting the acoustics and doing other beautifications thereof – envisaged date of completion: 31 December 2015.

The Old Community Hall will be transformed and will be furnished as a library for the community. Envisaged date of commencement: 01 January 2016.

These three different business plans/applications will be formulated by Bitou Municipality and submitted for approval and funding to the Department of Human Settlements. Whichever phase to be approved and funded, we will commence with first and the rest will be follow-up phases.
We, as the Municipality will do everything within our power to commence any phase by the end of March 2016.
Within the phases there will be high density and single residential housing provided.
On Wednesday 09/09/2015, Bitou Municipal Council (ITEM C/4/80/09/15) discussed the donation of Portion 25(Portion of Portion 1) of Farm 308 by the Plettenberg Bay Housing Trust. This land is 3ha in size and a still outstanding geographical report will determine for what purpose the land can be utilized.
