QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES ● Trade Tested Artisan (electrical) NQF 5 ● Valid Code EC driver’s License ● Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS: ● Proficiency in at least 2 of the 3 official languages of the Western Cape (read, write and speak) ● Good human relations, interpersonal and communication skills ●High level of responsibility ● Ability to work under pressure ● Must be physically fit and able bodied● Required to work in all weather conditions ●Work outside normal working hours, on standby, during emergencies and planned overtime.
FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: ● Interprets and coordinate specific pre-work/ site requirements with regards to installations, repairs, planned and predictive maintenance sequences and guides the activities of personnel ● Performs specific tasks associated with the operation of heavy and/or specialized vehicles and equipment during electrical installations, repairs and maintenance activities ● Monitor and correct support personnel productivity and performance ● Coordinate activities associated with the construction and installations of medium/ low voltage electrical networks ● maintain the functionality of medium/ low voltage electrical reticulation systems ● Coordinating activities associated with trouble shooting/ fault finding and repairing to medium/ low voltage reticulation and electrical systems ● Attend to routine/ general administrative recording requirements contributing to the accomplishment of departmental objectives ● Comply to safety procedures and guidelines (Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993) ● Keep abreast of developments, emerging trends and latest technologies in the profession.
